Prayer Prayer is the raising of one's mind and heart to God; the personal and living relationship of the children of God with their Father, who is infinitely good, with is Son Jesus Christ, and with the Holy Spirit who dwells in their hearts. The essential forms of Christian prayer are blessing and adoration, the prayer of petition and intercession, thanksgiving and praise. The Eucharist contains and expresses all the forms of prayer. Worship Worship is praise, thanksgiving and acknowledgment given to God by believing individuals and communities through actions and words. The dying and rising of Christ is at the center of all worship. Worship calls for the full, conscious, and active participation of all the faithful in liturgy. |
